A Kámorra igyekvő vagy éppen onnan érkező túrázó óhatatlanul áthalad a Kun-réten. Akármerre is vigyen utunk, azon kaphatjuk magunkat, hogy szándékunk ellenére megpihenünk a festői tisztáson.
A hosszúkás rét a Király-hegy és a Kő-szirt nyergéből fut alá. Legmagasabb pontján – az ún. nyeregponton – fedett magasles áll, ahonnan fenséges panoráma nyílik a Rétsági-medence és a Cserhát felé. A Kámorra tartók számára ez egy kis ízelítő abból, ami a csúcs előtt vár rájuk, a lefelé haladó túrázók pedig még egyszer gyönyörködhetnek a végtelennek tűnő tájban.
Ha körülnézünk a réten, láthatjuk, hogy egy átlagos erdei tisztásnál több funkcióval rendelkezik. Őszi-téli időszakban lekaszált pázsit szénakazlai árválkodnak a mező közepén, az erdő szegélyén pedig méhkaptárokat és egy vadetetőt látunk. A réttől nem messze, a S jelzés mentén fakad a Kun-forrás, ahol palackjaink újratöltésére is van lehetőségünk.

- A réthez legközelebb a Diósjenő, Arany János út buszmegálló található.
- Ha vonattal érkezünk, a Diósjenő vasútállomáson szálljunk le róla.

- A Diósjenő, Arany János út buszmegállóból a S jelzést kövessük (3,5 km, 263 m szintemelkedés).
- Diósjenő vasútállomásától a K, majd a S jelzésen érünk fel a Kun-rétre (5 km, 293 szintemelkedés).
- Ha autóval érkezünk, a Diósjenői Erdei Szabadidőparktól a ZT, majd a S jelzés vezet fel a Kun-rétre (2,5 km, 200 m szintemelkedés).
Parking
- Diósjenőn az erdei szabadidőpark melletti parkolóban hagyhatjuk az autót.
