Der Aussichtspunkt „Hofmättle" bietet eine gute Übersicht über die Gesamtgemarkung Bernau mit ihren 11 Ortsteilen.

Die waldfreie Rinne ist der letzte Rest der ehemaligen Viehweide von Bernau-Hof, „Hofmättle" genannt. Von hier aus schweift der Blick über das Bernauer Hochtal mit den zahlreichen Ortsteilen. Rechts begrenzt der Blößling mit 1310 m Höhe die ansprechende Tallandschaft.

Bis in die 1970er Jahre fanden am steilen Hang bei genügend Schnee Skirennen statt. Bis heute wird er von Skitourengängern genutzt.
