Die Hochwacht Mammern war seit Jahrhunderten ein strategisch wichtiger Beobachtungspunkt. Von ihr aus kann der Großteil des Untersees überblickt werden. Zur Sicherung der Rheingrenze errichtete die Schweizer Armee mit Beginn des Zweiten Weltkrieges den Betonbunker. Heutige Besucher genießen die herrliche Rundumsicht vom Untersee bis zu den Alpen. Eine Feuerstelle und Bänke laden zur Rast ein.
