Das Museum befindet sich im 400-jährigen Bauernhaus, dem sogenannten «Kesslerhaus», gegenüber dem Blarer-Schloss, der heutigen Gemeindeverwaltung von Aesch. Die Ausstellungen umfassen den Weinbau, die Dorfgeschichte, das Vereinsleben sowie die Ur- und Frühgeschichte von Aesch. Der Heimatdichter Traugott Meyer sowie der Naturforscher Alfred Vogel finden als «berühmte Aescher» einen eigenen Platz im Museum. Das Heimatmuseum ist mit Ausnahme der Schulferien jeweils am ersten Sonntag des Monats geöffnet.
