Der Aschberg befindet sich 98 m über NN und ist einer höchsten Berge des Naturparks. Er entstand während der letzten Eiszeit, als Gletscherzungen das abgetragene Gesteinsmaterial zu hohen Hügelketten auftürmten.
Auf dem Aschberg, werden sie mit einem einmaligen Blick über die Knick-, Redder - und Seenlandschaft belohnt. Bei guter Sicht reicht der Blick bis zum Wittensee, zur Schlei und zur Ostsee.
