Im Jahr 2006 hat der Landkreis auf Veranlassung des Bürgervereins diesen Aussichtpunkt errichtet. Auf dem steilen, aufgeschütteten Erdhügel hat man in 533 Meter Meereshöhe einen wunderbaren Rundumblick.

Auf dem knapp 10 km langen Eselsrundweg, der am steinernen Esel auf dem Kirchplatz Eltingen beginnt, kommt man am Aussichtspunkt Eltinger Blick vorbei. Auf dem steilen, aufgeschütteten Erdhügel hat man in 533 Meter Meereshöhe einen wunderbaren Rundumblick. Oben angekommen kann man durch die Durchbrüche an der Buntsandsteinsäule die Schwäbische Alb, den Stromberg, aber auch den Fernsehturm und die Eltinger Michaelskirche anpeilen.
