This mountain pass is located at 825m altitude in the Vosges Mountains. The crossroads was renamed in memory of a French captain Paul Antoine Émile AMIC, soldier of the 15th battalion of alpine hunters, decorated for his bravery on the battlefield of Hartmannswillerkopf "Vieil-Armand". You can find picnic tables there. If you continue along the route des crêtes, you will reach the Grand Ballon, the highest peak in the Vosges mountains at 1424 meters.
