Vom Verbindungsweg zwischen der Straße, die von Bauerbach über Hardt, Steinberg und Andrähof nach Weilheim führt, und dem Birkhof bietet sich direkt hinter der Kuppe ein grandioser Blick über die einzigartige Hardtlandschaft hinweg auf die Bayerischen Alpen. Bei genauem Hinschauen erkennt man sogar einen schwach ausgeprägten Drumlin-Höhenzug. Sogenannte Drumlins sind längliche bzw. tropfenförmige Hügel aus abgelagertem Material, das während der Eiszeit von den Gletschern entsprechend geformt wurde. Sie sind ein typisches Merkmal der einzigartigen Hardtlandschaft.
