One of the most popular excursion destinations around Baden is Baldegg (pronounced baltek). There are many walking paths and resting spots in the varied local recreation area, making it ideal for spending a few hours in the countryside.
For those who prefer sunbathing to walking, the terrace of the Baldegg Restaurant makes a lovely place to sit and bask. Right next door, there is a large playground where the children can play.
Things are even more laid-back in the Liegehalle Restaurant: Here, people in need of rest can recharge undisturbed and enjoy a bite to eat.

The Restaurant Baldegg is located only a few minutes drive from the centre of Baden in a recreational area with woods, meadows and a wonderful view. On the Baldegg there are many free parking spaces. If you want, you can also walk uphill to get there. This takes about 30 to 45 minutes from Baden.Parking
