Aussichtsplattform oberhalb vom "Weißen Steinbruch" mit einem herrlichen Blick ins Zabergäu.
Es besteht die Möglichkeit in den Steinbruch hinunter zu gehen. Dort finden sich einige Infotafeln zu den Funden selbst und Erklärungen zur Trias-Zeit.
Besuchen Sie mit dem Weißen Steinbruch ein einmaliges Fenster in die Keuper-Zeit. Er ist Fundort aufsehenerregender Fossilien aus der Trias-Zeit (vor ca. 220 Mio. Jahre). Berühmt wurde der „Weiße Steinbruch“ besonders durch die Reptilien- und Amphibienfunde. Abgüsse der Fundstücke können im Rathaus Pfaffenhofen besichtigt werden, beispielsweise die rechte Pfote des Dinosauriers „Sellosaurus“.
