At a height of around 500 meters, on the way to the Kanzelhöhe, there is a 25 square meter wooden viewing platform, which resembles a paraglider in shape, with a bench, table and lounger. From here, the view of Lake Ossiach is simply unique. The former mountain trail number 34, now mountain trail 1000, on the Gerlitzen Alpe, starts directly at the valley station of the Kanzelbahn in Annenheim. The ascent is marked and signposted throughout. 1000 meters of altitude difference means going uphill. Experienced hikers need about 3.25 hours for this. You pass the airfield of the Carinthian flight schools and the platform and cross the "PROlitzen-Trail" for mountain bikes several times. A cable car ride downhill is recommended. Sturdy shoes are absolutely necessary for this hiking trail to ensure a safe footing.
