Einst schnaufte auf dieser Strecke die Lok und verband die Orte Münstermaifeld, Mayen und Ochtendung mit Polch. Nach 70 Jahren wurde die Bahntrasse stillgelegt. Heute erinnert noch das etwa 40 m hohe Natursteinviadukt über dem Nettetal an die Strecke, an das sich zwei Tunnel anschließen. Nach dem abenteurlichen und zugleich romantischen Gang durch den ca. 250 m langen Tunnel "Hausen 2" erwarten Wanderer an dessen Ende einzigartige Blicke auf das Nette-Viadukt.
