Am 5. Juni 1937 wurde auf der Hainberghöhe am Rübenauer Weg ein schlichter Gedenkstein für den Heimatdichter und -sänger Anton Günther mit einer Feierstunde eingeweiht.

Anton Günther war am 29. April 1937 in Gottesgab gestorben. Der Gedenkstein wurde in nur sechs Wochen von den Heimatfreunden des Erzgebirgszweigvereins (EZV) Olbernhau errichtet.
