Swinging with a view at 1,350 m above sea level: the Almschaukel viewing platform welcomes visitors all year round with comfortable hanging benches - and offers a fantastic view over the Mönichkirchner Schwaig. The Almschaukel is the highest point of the unique 2.7 km long swing trail. With 17 skill and fun stations, the themed trail has been designed as a circular hike for the whole family.
Year-round top tip: The Erlebnisalm Mönichkirchen-Mariensee is now the 1st Lower Austrian mountain lift to be listed among the "Best Austrian Summer Mountain Lifts" - and has already won several awards at the Skiarea Summer Awards.
Accessibility for hikers
The Almschaukel viewing platform is the highest point of the 2.7 km long swing trail: a circular hiking trail for the whole family. The starting point is easily reached with the 4-seat chair lift of the Sonnenbahn. From there, it's 2.7 km over 17 adventure stations such as the May carousel, milk can skittles, alpine slide, balancing course and climbing tower. The 2 to 2.5 hour tour is accompanied by mascot Lella: at each station, the little cow tells you something about her exciting life on the mountain pasture.
