Alp Grüm è situata a 2‘091 m s.l.m., lungo la sponda del primo pendio della Valposchiavo. Da questo punto si gode un inconfondibile vista su tutta la Valposchiavo, che si estende fino alla vicina Italia. Nel 1910 vi è stata costruita la Linea del Bernina della Ferrovia retica. L’edificio della stazione è costruito con conci di pietra ed è anche ristorante e albergo. La sua apertura risale al 1926.

Alp Grüm non è allacciata alla rete stradale, in compenso è raggiungibile tutto l’anno con il treno. Altrimenti ci si può arrivare a piedi o con la mountain bike. Giunti ad Alp Grüm al termine di uno spettacolare viaggio con la Ferrovia retica (patrimonio mondiale UNESCO) oppure di un’entusiasmante escursione a piedi o in mountain bike, si è sopraffatti dall’avvenenza del massiccio del Bernina, dai ghiacci eterni del ghiacciaio del Palü e dalla forma a cuore del piccolo Lagh da Palü.
