Die Kaiserkrone ist ein zerklüfteter Rest eines Tafelberges. Er befindet sich am Ortsrand von Schöna und in unmittelbarer Nähe des Zirkelsteins.
Von dieser Stelle hat man die gesamte Schrammsteinkette, den Schmilkaer Kessel und den Großen Winterberg direkt gegenüber. Weiter südlich hat man einen weiten Blick nach Böhmen. Hier sticht besonders der kegelförmige (vulkanisch entstandene) Rosenberg ins Auge. Auch Caspar David Friedrich besuchte diesen Aussichtspunkt. In seinen Skizzenbüchern finden sich zahlreiche Motive, welche diesem Standort zuzuordnen sind. Sein bekanntes Werk "Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer" ist wohl dieser Aussicht zuzuordnen.
