Die Brauerei Uster steht unter Denkmalschutz. Das Gebäude im Fabrikschloss-Baustil mit Sichtbacksteinfassaden wurde 1897 bis 1901 von den Gebrüdern Bartenstein errichtet. Durch die Fenster der Sudhalle sieht man die beiden Kupferbottiche mit 220 hl bzw. 160 hl Fassungsvermögen. Da alle Wasserrechte an der Aa bereits vergeben waren, wurden die Maschinen durch eine Dampfmaschine der Gebrüder Sulzer angetrieben. Der Betrieb wurde 1978 eingestellt. Seit 2008 werden hier jedoch wieder unter neuer Führung diverse Biere gebraut.
