Aries Valley
Elevation gradually decreases from over 1000 m at the headwaters to below 300 m near its confluence. The DN75 national road follows the valley throughout its mountainous sector, providing a direct route between Câmpeni and Turda. The mountain villages and communes along the valley preserve traditional architectural and cultural features. Arieș Valley offers access to hiking routes, cycling trails, caving experiences, and cultural tourism, making it one of the most scenic and iconic regions in the Apuseni Mountains.

Public transport
The Arieș Valley is accessible by public road transport, with several regular bus routes connecting the valley’s localities to the towns of Câmpia Turzii, Turda, and Câmpeni. The nearest train station is in Câmpia Turzii, offering railway connections to major cities in Transylvania. The closest international airport is located in Cluj-Napoca, approximately 60–80 kilometers from the main access points to the Arieș Valley.For tourism purposes, two sections of the Arieș Valley feature seasonal rides with traditional narrow-gauge trains known as Mocănița, running along routes with significant scenic and historical value. One route connects Lunca Arieșului and Sălciua, while the other links Câmpeni to Abrud, following a historic railway line in the heart of Țara Moților.

🚗 The main road access is provided by the national road DN75, which crosses the valley in the direction of Turda - Câmpeni, following the course of the Aries River. From the south it can be reached through Abrud - Câmpeni, and from the northeast through Turda - Buru - Sălciua. From the major cities of Transylvania (Cluj-Napoca, Alba Iulia, Deva, Oradea), it is easily reached by personal car or public transport, following the European and national roads to Turda or Câmpeni.Coordinates
