Von der Stube des Türmers sind es nur noch wenige Stufen zur Aussichtsplattform der St.-Georgs-Kirche, bis sich den Besuchern ein fantastischer Blick bietet: auf die komplett erhaltene Stadtmauer mit ihren Türmen und Toren, auf prachtvolle Häuser aus dem Mittelalter und der Renaissance, auf die Weite des Nördlinger Ries. Um 22 Uhr, wenn der Türmer seinen Wächterruf „So, G‘sell, so“ zum ersten Mal über die Dächer ruft und die Lichter der Stadt unter ihm glitzern, gibt es keinen Zweifel mehr: Er hat eindeutig einen der schönsten Arbeitsplätze Deutschlands!
