Synagoga byla postavena na počátku 19. století v klasicistním slohu s pseudorománskými prvky. Stojí uvnitř domovního bloku mezi Hronovou ulicí a náměstím Svobody.
Budova je nyní ve vlastnictví neziskové organizace Tikkun Pacov, která usiluje o její zrenovování a dlouhodobé využívání k osvětovým a kulturním účelům. Veřejnosti je přístupná v rámci občasných akcí pořádaných spolkem.
