Die Winterstaude ist die höchste und zentrale Erhebung des langezogenen Niedere-Kamms zwischen den Talorten Andelsbuch und Bezau. Die steilen Grashänge am Kamm sind für ihre üppige Bergblumenpracht bekannt. Dank der freistehende Lage des höchsten Berges im näheren Umkreis, ist die Sicht entsprechend weit und ungehindert. Das 360° umfassende Alpenpanorama ist detailiert im Tourentext beschrieben.
