Der mit 1172 Metern höchste Berg über dem unteren Neckertal zeigt sich als typischer Nagelfluhberg. Von einer Seite relativ zahm ansteigend und dicht bewaldet ,fällt seine Südflanke als hohe Felsstufe ab. Aufbauender Fels ist Konglomerat, wegen seines Aussehens auch als "Herrgottsbeton" bekannt. Vom Gipfel bietet sich eine großartiger Blick übers Vorland zum Säntis.
