The ascent, the Forcan Ridge, makes this summit one of the most exciting mountains in the Kintail area.

Reaching the 964 metres-high summit is quite a challenge. Its ridge is very exposed and rugged – nothing for beginners. If you have a head for heights and are surefooted, the mountain rewards you with stunning views.

For most walkers, Sgurr na Forcan is just a stop on their way to the Saddle, but if you safely managed the ascent, you deserve a break on this summit before you tackle the next one.
