Der 420 Meter hohe Schwedenstein ist der Hausberg der Gemeinde Steina. Auf dem Gipfel des Schwedensteins befindet sich ein Aussichtsturm der 1898 gebaut wurde und einen tollen 360-Grad-Rundumblick auf die westliche Oberlausitz bietet.
Seinen Namen verdankt der Berg einem historischen Irrtum. Sei einer Gedenkfeier zum Todestag des Schwedenkönigs Gustav Adolf wird er Schwedenstein genannt, obwohl Gustav Adolf nie auf dem Berg weilte. Der Schwedenstein ist ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Wanderer und Radler. Auf seinem Gipfel befindet sich ein Bergrestaurant mit familiengeführtem Hotel. Der Schwedenstein ist eine Station der Naturerlebnisroute der Westlausitz.
