Vârful Saca Mare este cel mai înalt din Munții Gurghiu și pe un cer senin oferă priveliști superbe asupra multor masive muntoase, inclusiv până spre Carpații Meridionali, dacă atmosfera nu e încărcată.

Vârful se prezintă mai degrabă ca un platou cu vegetație, mai exact cu mult jnepeniș. Există, teoretic și o potecă ce face înconjurul platoului, însă e mai greu de intuit. Până pe vârf se poate ajunge la pas, pe trasee de drumeție cu pornire de lângă cariera Sovata sau din Pasul Bucin, cu mountain bike-ul, pe Valea Sebeșului, sau cu mașină off-road, tot din Pasul Bucin.

Oriunde pe drumul dintre Pârtia Aluniș și cariera de piatră, sau în Pasul Bucin.
