Mt. Fajtji hrib  

Fajtji hrib* (Hill 433), together with the neighbouring Veliki vrh (Hill 463), was an important strategic point in World War I. Fajtji hrib was conquered by the Italians in the Ninth Isonzo Offensive in early November 1916, while on Veliki vrh there were Austro-Hungarian positions. Both hills are crisscrossed with trenches and hollowed with caves and underground galleries. At the southwestern foothills of Fajtji hrib remains can be seen of the hamlet Fajti which was not restored after World War I. * Besides the name of Fajtji hrib, the locals also use the versions Fajti hrib, Fajtov hrib and Fajti.
