Die Mairspitze liegt am Stubaier Höhenweg zwischen Nürnberger Hütte und Sulzenauhütte und bietet einen grandiosen Ausblick auf die Stubaier Bergwelt.
Das Panorama großartig: Insbesondere können von hier die in südlicher Richtung aufragenden Gipfel Wilder Freiger, Aperer Freiger, Wilder Pfaff und Zuckerhütl bestaunt werden. Unterhalb dieser teilweise vergletscherten Gipfel schimmern einige Bergseen, darunter der Grünausee.
