The Liechtensteinkopf, at 1,926 meters, is located above the Aualm and offers a beautiful view along the route toward Aukopf and Schuhflicker.

The Liechtensteinkopf rises to 1,926 meters above the Aualm in Großarl. It is a beautiful summit destination and is often visited as part of the Aualm - Liechtensteinkopf - Aukopf - Schuhflicker - Schuhflickersee loop hike. From the Aualm, you can reach the summit in just a few minutes; at the top, the summit cross, a bench, and the beautiful view invite you to pause and take it all in.

The tour continues to the Aukopf and on to the Schuhflicker, one of the few limestone peaks in Grossarltal. The Liechtensteinkopf is thus a worthwhile stop for hikers looking to undertake a scenic mountain hike in the area around the Aualm and Schuhflicker.

Directions

Drive by car or hiking taxi to the district of Unterberg, then continue on Rattersbergweg towards Lainholzbauern and further to the parking lot just below the Aualm. A fee of €5.00 is payable at the barrier on the path to the mountain hut.

Parking

Parking just below the Aualm. You could also park directly at the Aualm, but there are not many parking spaces there, so we recommend choosing the parking lot below the mountain hut.
