From the top of this 1901-meter peak, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Alps and the Grenoble valley. To help you find your way around the surrounding mountains, an orientation table is available on the trail.
You'll also find a Météo-France radar along the way. Installed in 2014, it can measure precipitation and wind speeds within a 50-kilometer radius.
Until 2001, the Hotel Ermitage stood on the Moucherotte, a luxury hotel that had welcomed guests such as Brigitte Bardot, Dalida and Charles Aznavour. Abandoned in 1974 for lack of profitability, the hotel was linked to Saint-Nizier by a cable car. All that remains is a single pylon, now used by the village's adventure trail.
