Der Kottmar ist ein Berg des Lausitzer Berglandes im Landkreis Görlitz mit einer Höhe von 583 m ü. NN. und bietet für jeden Wanderer den richtigen Wanderweg.
Begeben Sie sich doch einfach mal auf den Sagenpfad rund um den Kottmar. Mit einer Länge von ca. 4,5 km ist er perfekt für alle die es eher gemütlich mögen.
Der Berg ist ebenso wie der in unmittelbarer Nähe liegende Schlechteberg in Ebersbach und der Löbauer Berg ein erloschener Vulkan des tertiären Vulkanismus. Er besteht aus Phonolith (Klingstein), einem vulkanischen Ergussgestein.Am Fuße des Berges entspringt eine der drei Quellen der Spree sowie das Cunnersdorfer Wasser. Beide entwässern über die Spree in die Nordsee, während der ebenfalls am Kottmar entspringende Petersbach über die Lausitzer Neiße und Oder sein Wasser in die Ostsee leitet. Der Kottmar ist somit Teil der Oberlausitzer Wasserscheide.
Auf dem Kottmarberg befindet sich der Kottmarturm sowie die Kottmarbaude. Beide Bauwerke befindet sich in sehr schlechtem Zustand und sind gesperrt bzw. geschlossen.

Der Kottmarberg ist sehr gut über zwei Wanderparkplätze erreichbar.
1. Ausgangspunkt: Wanderparkplatz oberhalb der Gaststätte „Kottmarschenke“.
Diese ist mit dem Bus (Linie 56 Neugersdorf-Eibau-Löbau) von der Haltestelle „Hirsch“, Eibau, aus zu erreichen.
2. Ausgangspunkt: Wanderparkplatz über die Lange Gasse im Eibauer Ortsteil Walddorf
