In winter, a magical winter sports area is created here. A double chairlift and various downhill runs make skiers happy. There is also a natural toboggan run over 1000 m long for tobogganists.
On the Hemmschuh you will find a stamp point (next to the wooden hut at the ski lift), which marks the summit as a destination on the "14 eight-thousanders" tour. You can get all the information you need at the Altenberg Tourist Information Office.
