The main watercourses in the area are fed from many springs found on the hillsides of Grmeč, such as the River Sanica, which rises from two springs – one formed in a lake, the other in a cave. In terms of other large hydrographic capacities, the following rivers are notable: the Una, the Vojskova, the Japra, the Sanica and the Korčanica. Notable natural lakes are Saničko Lake and Jabukovačko Lake.

Directions
The mountain trail leading to the peak of Crni Vrh can be reached from two directions:Leave from Bosanski Petrovac in the direction of Smoljana village; continue straight after the traffic lights. Turn right at the first intersection after Daćina voda. At the next intersection turn right to Tavani. After Potoci spring, you will reach the third intersection where you should turn right and continue to the starting point of the mountain trail leading to Crni vrh.
Leave from Bosanski Petrovac in the direction of Ključ; in Pećanci make a left exit; at the first intersection continue straight (to your left, there is a macadam road passing through the Janjila village; you can take this road to get to the intersection from the main road), turn left at the next intersection; at the third intersection (new forest footpath) also turn left. You will reach the same starting point of the mountain trail leading to Crni vrh.
