Der ladinische Name "Odles", auf deutsch "Nadeln", trifft die geologische Formation der Geisler perfekt. Der zerklüftete Fels hat zahlreiche schlanke Türme, welche wie Nadeln in die Höhe ragen.
Die Geisler Spitzen weisen zahlreiche Alpinkletter-Routen auf, sowie auch zwei Klettersteige, die auf den Sas Rigais führen. Am Fuße der Geislergruppe schlängelt sich der berühmte Adolf-Munkel-Weg entlang. Schmucke Almen und Almhütten, die besonders bei Wanderern sehr beliebt sind, liegen an seinem Wegverlauf.
