Corno Grande, Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park

Located in Abruzzo at an altitude of 2912 m, the Corno Grande peak represents the heart of the Gran Sasso National Park, and is the highest point in the whole of the Italian Apennines.

On the northern slope of the Corno Grande is the Calderone glacier, the only glacier in the Apennines.
