Bilstein und Bilsteinturm: Der Bilsteinturm ist gut 20 m hoch. Von seiner Aussichtsplattform konnte man früher bis weit in die DDR hineinsehen. Das ist heute nicht mehr der Fall. Dafür geht der Blick in sechs Bundesländer:
- Hessen: Da steht der Turm
- Nordrhein-Westfalen: Kahler Asten (841 m NN), 91,2 km Entfernung
- Niedersachsen: Wurmberg (971 m NN), 77,8 km Entfernung. Landesgrenze: 2,6 km Entfernung
- Sachsen-Anhalt: Brocken (1.141 m NN), 80,9 km Entfernung
- Thüringen: Heldrastein (504 m NN), 34,1 km Entfernung. Landesgrenze: 10,8 km Entfernung

Nach Ansicht des Wirts der Bilsteingaststätte ist der Bilstein der einzige Aussichtspunkt in Deutschland, bei dem man sechs Bundesländer erblicken kann. Das kann auf der Webseite nicht überprüft werden, wegen der zentralen Lage Hessens in Deutschland spricht aber einiges dafür.
