On the hillside, the Gloeckelsberg arboretum offers an instructive and bucolic walk. You can get there by the Piste des Forts.
It is in this bucolic environment, on a hill covered with cherry trees, that the military battery known as "des Cerisiers" was built during the Second World War Today, the trees have replaced the cannons and people come here to peacefully go green. Since 1990, an arboretum with a wide variety of local species welcomes walkers. The density and diversity of its vegetation is also a refuge for wildlife and it is not uncommon to see birds, insects, reptiles and small mammals on the way.
Don't hesitate to push a little on the hill: you can enjoy a 360° panorama on the Kochersberg and the Strasbourg agglomeration.
