Es handelt sich um eine öffentliche Sportanlage, die der Tuspo Lamspringe von 1911 e.V. pflegt und verwaltet. Außerhalb der Fußballspiele und -Training findet der Lamspringer Klosterlauf, Leichtathletik Training, Schulsport und das jährliche Sportabzeichen auf der Anlage statt. Bei entsprechender Wetterlage wird auch Langlauftraining auf der Anlage und den umliegenden Waldwegen angeboten.
