AVNET Arena: The football station of the city!
The AVNET Arena, formerly known as Stadion Magdeburg or MDCC-Arena, is the home ground of 1. FC Magdeburg and an important sports venue in the city. The stadium was opened in 2006 and offers space for around 27,500 spectators. In addition to home matches of FCM 1, concerts, open-air events, public viewings and other social events regularly take place here. The AVNET Arena therefore not only contributes to the city's sporting identity, but is also an important economic and cultural factor that attracts events of all kinds and thus contributes to the diversity of cultural life in Magdeburg.

Public transport

The tram stop “Arenen” on “Herrenkrugstraße” and the bus stop “Friedrich-Ebert-Straße” on “Berliner Chaussee” are located near the arena. Further information on how to get to the arena by public transport is available from MVB.
