The Webergasse is reminiscent of an extinct craft, the weavers.
In addition to fishermen and boatmen, there were also weavers in Neuburg until 1900. The Webergasse is a reminder of their craft. The mechanisation of weaving in the 19th century made it difficult for the small craft businesses with their hand looms. Some of the weaving families emigrated because of these circumstances.
