Hamina Market Square is a lively place to shop in the middle of the city. People from nearby villages and neighboring towns gather in the outdoor market to shop and to meet people. The lively market offers products from local producers such as vegetables, roots vegetables, berries and flowers. The market hosts several fairs and various other events every year.
The Market Square used to be a baseball field and the shape of the field is still recognisable, so you can buy bread from first base, flowers from the second and fish from the third base!
