One of the busiest places and the connection between the city centre and the old town.

Marienplatz is a good starting point to visit Görlitz. After only a few metres you can reach the city centre and the beautiful old town of Görlitz. The Marienplatz itself is home to the Dicke Turm (Women's Tower), the Senckenberg Museum of Natural History and in the immediate vicinity, the famous Art Nouveau department store. After a walk through the old town, the many seats on the square are perfect for taking a break and admiring the water features.
