A place for traders, locals and tourists.

Elisabethstraße is often also called Elisabethplatz. The city wall used to run here and today Elisabethstraße connects the city centre and the historic old town of Görlitz.

On weekdays, the weekly market takes place here, where traders offer regional products. Since October 2014, the popular Görlitz Naschallee has usually taken place here every 1st Saturday from May to October. Customers and traders exchange goods and get into conversation. In addition to cheese and sausage, flower and vegetable traders, artisans also contribute to the special atmosphere of the Görlitz Naschallee with their stalls. Each market season attracts around 10,000 gourmets and the curious.

Elisabethstraße serves as the starting and finishing point for the European Marathon Görlitz/Zgorzelec. Runners, skaters, walkers, scooter riders and hand cyclists can compete in several disciplines on the cross-border, challenging course.
