Auch verschiedene Wanderwege verlaufen an dieser Stelle, wie z.B. der Erlbacher Bergweg. Die Quelle kann auch als Abstecher in eine Wanderung auf dem Vogtland Panorama Weg (Etappe 9) integriert werden.
Der Schwarzbach entspringt etwa 150 m hinter der Grenze auf tschechischer Seite am Hang des Počátecký vrch (deutsch: Ursprungberg). Auf deutscher Seite trägt er hier noch den Namen "Hinterer Langebach". Im Hinteren Floßteich wird er gemeinsam mit dem Vorderen Langebach aufgestaut. Bis zum Zufluss des Gopplasgrüner Baches in der Erlbacher Ortsmitte wird das Gewässer Floßbach genannt. Danach fließt es als Schwarzbach weiter durch Markneukirchen sowie dessen Ortsteil Siebenbrunn und mündet in Adorf in die Weiße Elster.
