Krokodeilos Spring

Approaching to the sea, the stream changes its appearance and becomes drier. Here lies the spring of Crocodile, which is fed from the slopes of the hills to the east. The water comes from the spring very slowly, like the” tears of the crocodile “, and that's how the spring got its name. The landscaping with the terraces made of stone and mortar is relatively recent. Nearby another spring with a small flow of water has been found. According to local stories, fairies and fousata (pirates shades) pass by the spring during the “bad time”, when they sound “eerie” like distant voices and songs.
