Die in Stein eingefasste Quelle ist über eine Treppe zu erreichen. Eine heilende Wirkung des Wassers ist allerdings eine Legende.

In der Nähe der Quelle wurden Siedlungsreste aus der jüngen Bronzezeit und älteren Eisenzeit nachgewiesen. Es existieren zahlreiche Sagen und Legenden um diesen Ort.

Die Quelle befindet sich mitten im Stadtwald und ist nicht direkt mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar. Nächste Haltestelle des ÖPNV ist "Duisburg Universität", Buslinie 933.

Directions

Autobahn 40, Abfahrt "Duisburg-Kaiserberg", dann in Richtung Parkplatz Universität. Von dort aus über den für Fahrzeuge gesperrten Forsthausweg.
