This is one of the favorite springs of the locals with a long story behind it.
Spring water is not only necessary for people to drink, but also for farmers to irrigate their fields and to water their herds. For the watering of the animals, small stone sculpted troughs were mainly made, which were placed in each fountain at a height to serve the animals, while for the watering of the herds, there are often large watering cans in front of or next to the fountain.
The story about the name of the fountain: During the years of Serbian occupation (13th - 14th century), an officer brought his sick brother to Pertouli. The sick man loved the beautiful girl of the miller, who as they said in the village was not his favourite child. The girl's brother, a wild mountain shepherd, envied their love and vowed revenge to take on the offense. One day, when his sister brought him bread in the sheepfold, he grabbed her and raped her. The next day he lurked by the spring and starts drowning her lover, who dying utters the word "Braiko-Braiko". The girl is puzzled, watching the fight. At one point, when she sees her lover bending, she takes a sharp stone and angrily manages it on her brother's head. The blow kills him. The girl, terrified, goes down to the mill, where she learns that her father was trapped by the millstones and was killed. Desperate, she climbs on the mantle beam, curls up in the thick wood and mourns. She stays there on the beam for days and looks like an owl disheveled as she is. A few days later school children come on an excursion to the mill, who, seeing her, think that she is an elf bird. From a distance, the children start throwing stones at her. A stone hits her on the head and stuns her. She then fell into the water of the fulling mill. When she was taken out, she was found dead. [Note: The old lady Roido insisted that she too often heard the word "Braiko" coming out of the mountain, but she could never explain it . The word is Slavic and means "Brother Brother".
