Der Oder-Spree-Kanal verbindet die Dahme über den Seddionsee mit der Spree (Fürstenwalde) und mündet in Eisenshüttenstadt in die Oder. Der erste Bauabschnitt wurde 1558 durch Kaiser Ferdinand I. verannlasst. Fertiggestellt wurde der Kanal 110 Jahre später unter dem Großen Kurfürsten Friedrich Wilhelm.
