Der Virgilienberg ist ein archäologisch bedeutender Hügel in Kärnten. Er beherbergt die Reste einer frühchristlichen Kirche aus dem 4. Jahrhundert.                                 

Der Virgilienberg, ein archäologisch bedeutsamer Hügel in Kärnten, Österreich, ist ein Ort von großer historischer und kultureller Bedeutung. Benannt nach dem Heiligen Virgil, einem der bedeutendsten Missionare und Bischöfe der Region, bietet der Hügel eine faszinierende Reise in die Vergangenheit. Auf dem Virgilienberg befinden sich die Überreste einer frühchristlichen Kirche aus dem 4. Jahrhundert, die zu den ältesten Kirchenbauten in Österreich zählt. Diese Kirche, ein bedeutendes Zeugnis frühchristlicher Architektur und Glaubensgeschichte, ist ein Highlight für Archäologen und Geschichtsinteressierte.

Der Hügel selbst bietet nicht nur einen tiefen Einblick in die religiöse Geschichte der Region, sondern auch einen atemberaubenden Ausblick auf die umliegende Landschaft Kärntens.
