A threshing floor with impressive views.
You will find it right next to the trail, at a point with excellent views of Kastraki hill, Neda and Petra villages, Neda valley and Psarenia, as well as part of the chestnut forest between Abeliona and Agios Sostis. It is one of the hundreds of stone threshing floors in the area. The threshing floors were constructed in an easy-to-handle position: easy to remove: separating the wheat from the straw by means of the wind. Each family had at least one threshing floor and some two or three. Often, next to the threshing floor, there was also a hut for the primitive housing of the family during the months Theristi ("Harvester") and Alonari ("Thresher"). Today the huts are in ruins, but most threshing floors are still in relatively good condition.
