Casa de la Merica, ein verfallenes Haus, oberhalb nochmals eine Ruine und Cabezada de la Merica, ein Gipfel mit schöner Aussicht.

Der GR-132 führt nach Ersteigen der Klippen von Valle Gran Rey fast am Casa de la Merica vorbei, weiter aufwärts zur Ruine und zum Gipfel, wieder etwas abseits vom GR-132.

Die Landwirtschaft mit den Terassenfeldern wurde in La Gomera in der Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts intensiviert. Es regnete in den Wintermonaten und im Frühjahr wurde geerntet. Mit der Landflucht in den 1960er und 1970er - Jahren war auch das Ende des Getreideanbaus hier gekommen. Dies lässt sich durch Wanderer-Inschriften in der Ruine erhärten, wo die ältesten aus den 1980er-Jahren stammen.
